How to apply for regular visa

1. Online Form Only: The Consulate General of India follows online visa application procedure and handwritten / manually typed visa applications are not accepted.To access the online form, applicants must go to the link https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html# and click on “Regular visa application”. Applicants must Completely fill up the visa application form, without leaving any column blank.

Applicants are requested to ensure details entered on the visa application form must be exactly as in the passport or else the visa application will be rejected. Suppression of facts and information will not only result in delay/ or denial of visa applied for but may debar the applicant from applying under this system in future.

2. Upload Photograph: Upload your photo vertically and not horizontally. Please save / submit your application and take a printout only after you have uploaded your photograph. You will have to re-fill the application form if you fail to upload your photograph. For detailed photo upload instructions, please visit click here.

3. Print the Form: Once the online application is completed press ‘submit’ after which an application ID No. starting with DEUM…. will be generated, which should be noted carefully and quoted in all references in this regard made to this Consulate. Thereafter, the form can be printed.

4. Signature: The printed application form must be duly signed on page 1 and page 2 (declaration) and submitted to the Consulate General of India, Munich by post only. In case of minor applicant, either parent can sign the application form on page 2. On page 1 signature or thumb impression of the minor may be affixed.


In case of a Minor child, a consent letter signed by both parent is needed. If the minor child is in the sole custody of one parent, a copy of the custody order from the local court is mandatory.


5. Application must be accompanied with two latest photographs (2” X 2”), prescribed visa fee, passport in original and the required documents for processing of visas.


6. Kindly provide your latest and complete contact details on the visa form. Suppression of facts and false / incomplete / inaccurate information will not only result in delay / denial of visa but may also debar the applicant from getting visa in future.


7. Visa application may be accepted, modified or refused by the Consulate and its decision in the matter shall be final. This Consulate reserves the right to withhold any application submitted for an in-depth examination.


8. Personal interviews by the Visa Officer with applicants may be required in some cases. Applicants will be contacted by the Consulate in such cases.


9. 
Validity of regular visa is effective from the date of issue and not from the date of travel.Visas are not issued from a future date to match applicant’s itinerary.


10. Visa fee must be deposited by bank transfer in advance (as it takes 2 to 3 days to get reflected in the bank account of CGI, Munich) in the Bank Account of CGI, Munich. For Bank details please click here. Visa application number and name of applicant should be mentioned in the reference column while making the bank transfer. A copy of the transaction slip must be enclosed with visa application.

11. Fee once paid in the account of Consulate will not be refunded under any circumstances. Excess amount or any amount transferred inadvertently in the account of the Consulate will stand forfeited. No communication will be entertained in the matter. Hence applicants are requested to deposit the fee only after ascertaining that all correct and relevant details are entered in the application form.

a) Completed Application along with supporting document can be sent to CGI Munich by Post only at the following address clearly mentioning on the right side of envelope - “VISA APPLICATION”:

b) A self-addressed envelope of size C5 for returning the passport with Indian visa is required to be attached with the documents. Stamp of Euro 4.50 may be affixed on the envelope.

5. PROCESSING TIME: Minimum 5 working days from the date of receipt of application in the Consulate. Consulate is not responsible for any delay on account of postal services.
