  1. Consulate General of India, Munich was opened in May, 2002 with operational jurisdiction over the two southern German States of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg.
  2. Following Consular Services are provided by the Consulate to the residents of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg:

(A)Passport Services:

  • Issue of a new passport
  • Re-issue of pass ports
  • New passports in lieu ofloss/ damage cases (applicant to visit the Consulate for physical verification).
  • Change of personal particulars on the passport
  • Change of appearance (applicant to visit the Consulate for physical verification).
  • Cancellation of passports
  • Emergency Certificates

(B)Overseas Citizen of India card (OCI):

The Consulate provides to the eligible applicants in its jurisdiction (a) Overseas Citizen of India card (OCI) and (b) OCI Miscellaneous Services as well as renunciation of Indian Citizenship.

(C)Other Misc. Consular Services

  • Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)
  • Birth Registration/Birth Certificate
  • Attestation of Death Certificate
  • Life Certificate
  • NRI certificate
  • Attestation of various Indian documents which are attested by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi
  • Attestation of Affidavit for obtaining child passport in India (father/mother to visit the Consulate for physical verification)
  • Attestation of Power of Attorney/legal documents (applicant to visit the Consulate to sign it in the presence of Consular Officer)
  • Attestation of Civil and Commercial documents
  • Registration of Death/ Death Certificate
  • No Objection Certificate for transportation of body ofthe deceased to India; Carrying of ashes ofthe deceased to India

(D)Visa Services

  • German nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa obtained from an Indian Consulate/Embassy.
  • German nationals residing in the states of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg may apply for visa at the Consulate.
