Consulate General of India, Munich was opened in May, 2002 with operational jurisdiction over the two southern German States of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg. The Consulate provides consular, commercial and other services to the residents of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg.

Bureau of Immigration will accept PIO Cards as valid travel documents till 30.09.2019 along with valid foreign passports. Indian Immigration Check Post(s) will continue to consider all PIO Cards valid for entry/exit from India till 30.09.2019. If in the meantime any deadline is notified by the ICAO thereby making hand written PIO Cards invalid, then PIO cardholders may have to obtain appropriate visa from the nearest Indian Mission/Post abroad.
