Recruitment for the post of Interpreter

The Consulate General of India, Munich invites application from suitable candidates for a full time position of Interpreter on immediate basis.

The position carries the starting pay of € 2565 per month gross + Social Security contribution as per German Government regulations.

Job Profile: Daily translation of German News to English, monitoring of German news on Television, press briefings, conventions etc. and prepare reports in English on the same, Whisper Translation (German-English) for Consulate officials, liaising with relevant German authorities, maintaining timely correspondence with lndian/German authorities and any other duties assigned from time to time.

Eligibility:

1. Educational qualifications: Minimum bachelor's degree in German or English language or equivalent. Recognised Diploma or certificate course in Translation-cum-lnterpreter from German to English and vice-versa.

2. Language proficiency: Speak, read and write fluently in English and German.

3. Computer skills: MS office and lT skills.

4. Experience: 2 years of experience in relevant field (preferable).

5. Abilities: lnterpersonal skills. Listening, speaking and writing skills, lntercultural competence & Proactive approach. Strong management capability and ability to prioritize and deal with multiple tasks.

6. He/she must be a German / EU citizen or others with valid work permit for Germany and should be aged atleast 21 years or above.
