NRI Certificate

NRI Certificate is issued to those Indian Nationals who have stayed more than 182 days abroad in a particular financial year.

 

Those who are applying for NRI Certificate for obtaining admission for family members in Indian universities under the NRI quota, and availing benefit of schemes like DASA (Direct Admission to Students Abroad) conducted by Ministry of Education are requested to write directly to us at passport.munich@mea.gov.in


Those who are applying for NRI Certificate for purposes other than Educational Benefits can apply as per the details given below:

Check-List of Documents:-

  • 1. Duly filled in Miscellaneous application form

  • 2. Self attested copy of current Indian passport (all pages from first to last;clearly indicating page number).

  • 3. List of their entry/exit into/from India to confirm length of total stay in foreign country during a particular financial year (April to March). Click here for Entry/Exit Form.

  • 4. An affidavit/declaration that they have stayed abroad for more than 182 days during a particular financial year (March to April).

  • 5. Copy of the Visa/Resident Permit

  • 6. City Registration (Meldenbischingung)

  • 7. Requisite Fee
