Important Alert about fake calls

The students studying under the Consular Jurisdiction of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg are encouraged to register themselves on the MADAD portal that will help us to reach out to them in case of any emergency / disaster in the region.

Complaints have been received about fake calls being made to Indian nationals through caller Id spoofing of the Embassy or German Immigration authorities' telephone numbers, with money being demanded by the callers in many cases. This is to clarify that the Embassy of India/Consulate General of India does not indulge in demanding money/penalty over telephone. All Indian nationals are requested to be alert to such fake calls and are advised not to part with any information/ money being demanded by the caller. In case of any doubt, persons receiving such calls may separately contact the Embassy/ Consulate through email or in person for further clarification.
