"Make in India Show and Pavilion" at CeBIT 2016, Hannover : March 14 -18, 2016.

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in association with the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Government of India is organizing Make in India Show and Pavilion at CeBIT 2016 being held at Hannover, Germany from 14- 18 March 2016, showcasing the investment opportunities in India. Department of Electronics and IT (DeitY), Ministry of Communication & IT, Govt. of India is also partnering with FICCI and DIPP to organize participation of Make in India delegation in CeBIT 2016.

The event will have Investor Roundtable with CEOs, State specific sessions and sectoral sessions in electronic manufacturing. The agenda of the proposed ‘Make In India Delegation’ is enclosed for perusal.

Brief: Theinvestor roundtable discussion will focus on Indian industry investment trends and opportunities – both from general perspective as well as specifically for the Information Technology and Manufacturing sector. Together a panel of international and Indian experts will discuss Indian growth story and opportunities offered to global investors.

Format of the session: Two key speakers from International (German) ICT/ Manufacturing industry will share their success story/ business experience in India. Similarly, two senior industry leaders from India will share their vision and perspective on investment opportunity and India’s growth story.

Seminar on “India An Opportunity – Sectoral Perspectives from Electronics Manufacturing”

Brief: The Indian economy is one of the fastest growing economy in the world. India, the fourth largest base for new businesses in the world and home to over 3,100 tech start-ups, is set to increase its base to 11,500 tech start-ups by 2020. Indian IT's core competencies and strengths have attracted significant investments from major countries. The computer software and hardware sector in India attracted cumulative Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows worth US$ 18.17 billion between April 2000 and September 2015. India’s internet economy is expected to touch Rs 10 trillion (US$ 151.6 billion) by 2018, accounting for 5 per cent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).

The ongoing ‘Make in India’ initiative is the key driver for the transformation of India’s economy and business environment. Investing in India allows companies to access the necessary technology, conducive business environment, young workforce and resources that are needed to achieve long term success. This session would highlight about the investment opportunities specifically in ICT sector.Also, Why global businesses should tap Indian market which have showed signs of accelerated growth.
